Default Training a western horse for dressage ?

    Anyone have experience ?
After a brief 3 years learning reining with a great AQHA mare, I've decided to go back to my roots and try her in dressage. Anyone have a similar experience that could offer tips ?

I have worked with a handful of reiners turned dressage (as the rider). A horse with good reining training very easily switches to dessage. They need to learn different seat aids, but other than that I've found well trained reiners come with the other basics intact. Usually the horses are ready to show training or first after a month of work. They usually have fantastic work ethics compared to some of our younger warmbloods.

    Have fun!
