    Default Zenyatta's First Colt Named

    Cozmic One.

I like it. A little surprised they left the music theme, glad they seem to be starting a Z theme. Also glad it's a serious name that doesn't sound like a kid's model pony. IMHO, much better name than Rachel's colt.

He is a gorgeous yearling in pictures. Wonder if he'll be slow to mature as Z was.

I like it too. I started this exact thread yesterday, but I guess it went poof with the board issues? This feels like déjà vu.

Yep - a lot of postings were seemingly zapped.

I thought the name was just fine and as I mentioned before Synchronicity was already taken with a horse running in the last few years in New York.

Glad they chose a good name, especially after the silly name Rachael's colt ended up getting.

Especially love that they included the Z

He sure is a handsome colt. Can't wait to see if he is as talented as his momma!

Bleh, I don't like the name. Not horrible, but could have been a lot better. Even just plain Cozmic would have been a good choice. He sure is gorgeous though, hope he runs to his potential

What did they name that one??

I like Cozmo as a nickname - Cozmic One is ok.

Gah why is everyone so hard on Rachel's baby's name? Heck it isn't THAT bad. Jess Jackson bred his two greatest horses, it was his dream come true in a way. Is it a little corny? Sure, but it is sentimental.

Just enjoy the horse. When a new horse comes into the barn, most of us don't know it's name until it's time to go to the gates, and by then we've usually given it a pet name.

I like Cozmic One, kind of a fun name.

hmmm, I must have posted on your thread. Don't like the name, but hopefully that won't hold him back

I guess Mondatta was taken? I figured that was a forgone conclusion.

Yeah, it's taken. I posted this on the dev board, which is now password only. Annoying...makes it impossible to retrieve posts from yesterday afternoon/evening.

Mondatta won't be available until 2015, later if that mare is ever bred. She seems to have disappeared. Sold for a pretty penny as a yearling, but hasn't raced and has no foals. Perhaps she was exported.
