Default First fly of the season in my house! Come over here and kill it.

Summer is coming. I can tell because I'm being pestered by this thing buzzing around. You know the drill. If you haven't had this going on in recent memory, yours is coming.

Best way to lure and kill it? The buzz is bad. The hunt is worse. I want efficiency.

    Glass of wine. Never fails

Oh, I meant leave it out for the fly to go into and drown, but you can drink from it first. Just leave some for Mr Fly.

This is when a cat comes in handy. I've had endless hours of entertainment watching my cats chase and catch flies. They're pretty darn good at it, too!

I seldom ever have to kill any bug in the house. The cats usually find them first.

Yeah, mvp, how many cats do you have that are slacking off on their bug-killing responsibilities by allowing this fly to live?

If none of them are being productive members of the household, clearly, the solution is another cat.

    Two suggestions and two failures!

I read about the wine with interest (though I don't drink).... and I *knew* someone was going to get pro-fly on me. Pick up the fly's bar tab indeed.

I do have one cat-- too geriatric and crippled to be of use. But the fly was way up near a ceiling light. What cat can do that?

As I understand it, flies live awhile so I'll let you guys know where it appears today.

    Feel my pain.

Bug zapper in the house. Turn on when the rest of the house is dark. Fly & other bugs will find it .. instead of buzzing your sleep
