Default Ricin in letter sent to Senator Roger Wicker

Looks like we have more than one kook running around.

Why can't people just send gift cards or candy anymore? Does it always have to be hazardous materials?

It'll be interesting to see when it was postmarked. One doesn't just pick up Ricin at the friendly neighborhood Piggly-Wiggly.

What ignominious thing has this senator done/supported? Yeah, it's an unfriendly way to get one's point across, but perhaps we need to look into what 'the point' was? Any one know what rotten thing the guy might've supported?

Like the anthrax letters after 9-11 only scarier (they can TREAT anthrax..it's not fun, but they can do it. Ricin...)

Eh. It's some lunatic who is attempting to capitalize on the marathon bombings, just like the copycats who were sending anthrax at the same time Ted Kaczynski was sending his mail bombs.

Anthrax was right after 9/11. Ted Kaczinski was a few years earlier.

The timing is too close for it to be copycat, it's either two nuts and a huge coincidence or the same guy/group.

Incidentally, I'm not saying that it was because of gun control. However, he was one of a few who voted to end the filibuster.

Well, a suspect has been in custody for over a day, plenty of time for the media to have thoroughly picked through his background information. Let's face it, this guy's not the brightest bulb on the string, and in fact, somewhat of a blabbermouth. But the MSM has said very little about it.

Given the media's agenda-driven reporting, it does make one wonder about what they've found. Could it be that he's not a right-wing gun nut?

    Just askin'.

It appears he is your garden variety, tin foil hat nutter. If the story is true, he was claiming there are shadow governments selling body parts and that the government came after him and ruined his music career. He was an Elvis impersonator.
