    Default Back on track sheets?

Anyone have experience with the back on track sheets for helping with hip or pelvic problems in horses? They're awfully expensive, so I'd love to hear how they have or haven't helped your sore horses.

I have noticed a huge difference with my horses in the relaxation of their top line over all. My chiro told me that the hip and pelvis are "too deep" under muscle for the back on track stuff to really work for those type of problems.

To me, it is worth the risk of buying and try because a) They are great for their bodies over all b) the last forever c) it would easy to sell on ebay for basically what you paid. I got the plain nylon sheets and fell is love with it so much that I got the mesh ones for summer.

I had one for my sore-backed horse. Sold it as it just didn't fit him well. Bought a Draper Therapies sheet to replace it and love it. I truly believe it is helping his back stay healthy.

DD won a BOT mesh sheet in a jumper class and uses it on her pony. I was skeptical but she swears she can feel a difference. We have been shipping him to and from the shows in it and she thinks it helps keep him comfortable and ready to go when we arrive.

I have the mesh sheet for my big guy that is a bit weak behind and has a tendency to roach a little in his lumbar region. I found the BOT blanket definitely helps, in combination with regular massage/chiro work and being really meticulous about his fitness.

I love love LOVE mine!! I actually bought it for my horses SI problem when we traveled to away shows and he had to be stalled for 3 days. The first show I went without but a friend had one and I used it 15 minutes every 2 or three hours and noticed and BIG difference in the show which prompted me to buy my own.

I use it a lot in the winter and even purchase a back pad that goes under his saddle pad and covers his hip region (I bought it from Rachel Schaeffer @ iselltack.com) and used it a lot this winter when it was cold and he was stiff and SUCH a difference.

Forrest wears his sheet in the trailer to and from shows and I couldn't imagine him without it now! I definitely recommend and TOTALLY worth the money!

I have been thinking about the mesh sheet for my horse. Are they very think or are they really mesh? I have never seen one in person and I can't really tell from the pics online. Would there be any way to use it in summer, maybe a few hours at night? Really excited to hear what people say because my birthday is coming up and I may ask DH for one

This is what mine looks like. I have used it at night in June and had no problems with sweating. This is the summer sheet, but I think it's an older version. (I bought it on TOD for 50%)
