Default Weird question - need replacement "string" for Charles Owen helmet

The "string" that goes in the back part of the harness of my AYR8 is faded and frayed and will be breaking soon. Where in the world do I get a replacement? It looks like a shoe string but appears to be MUCH shorter than any shoe string you could buy.

    TIA

Speak with someone who runs a tackstore in your area, I was able to have a new metal front piece ordered, so they may be able to get a new string for you

I would just cut a shoe lace to the required length and use that. Touch up the cut end with clear nail polish so it won't fray.
I heard a neigh. Oh, such a brisk and melodious neigh as that was! My very heart leaped with delight at the sound. --Nathaniel Hawthorne

I would just get toddler/children's shoe laces

I have never looked closely at the AYR8, but it seems as though you could get a toddler's paddock bootlace and use that

    ...or a men's dress shoelace

A men's dress shoe lace would be much too long, I believe. May try to find a toddler's shoe lace but I suppose if all else fails I will have to try the clear nail polish on the cut end of a shoe lace.

    Thanks for the suggestions!
