I am sure some of us have friends running or spectating, my thoughts are with them.

My sister in law is there watching the race. Since she is already a widow with two small children (my brother passed away when they were 6 and 8) it is an understatement to say I was relieved that she was not near the explosions.

DD's trainer had a goddaughter running - was about 50 ft from the explosions but are thankfully ok.

    Prayers for all involved.

(Goddaughter is a rider just in case we need to keep this HR)

Right now they're saying 2 dead and 23 injured. How horrific. The video footage is just so disturbing. My heart just goes out to those who- in the moments following the explosion, just went right for the road barriers to get to the poor folks on the sidewalk.

How tragic. I lived in Mass. as a kid and always attended the Boston Marathon--one of our close family friends even ran in it one year. Thoughts & prayers to all who were there.

Can't wait to hear which cowardly group living amongst us is waiting in the wings to "proudly" own up to this travesty.

In case it is of any use to anyone looking for loved ones, here is a runner tracker.
This is sickening, thoughts & prayers for everyone involved.

And a live feed for anyone who doesn't have local Boston news.

Yes, they found 2 unexploded devices in addition to the two that exploded. They believe one was inside Marathon Sports and the second outside. Businesses and hotels in the area have been evacuated. No report of a bomb in Brookline.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the people and families affected by today’s bombing at the Boston Marathon.

Myself and colleagues are safe. I have no faith in humanity. Very, very sad. I've lived in and worked around Boston since 1980. The Boston Marathon is a relaxing day to cheer on your friends and family running in the race. Something to look forward to not fear.

    Horrifying.

And so sad. I heard on NPR last week that a group of Newtown parents were running to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting. Only to be met with more violence.

My cousin's girlfriend ran the marathon and finished approximately 10 minutes before the first explosion. My cousin was there spectating and cheering her on. They are both okay, but that is all anyone has heard from them so far.

    I feel absolutely sick.
