WD-40. We used it at a show once to get caramel from a caramel apple out of someone's hair. Also try peanut butter --- I know it gets bubble gum out of hair. Also try alcohol. Just have to find the right solvent, like 5 said.

Once you find out what works, you gotta tell us how it happened. I know it won't beat whatsherface who went wine shopping with a clay mask stuck on her face, but I'm still hopeful for a good story.

When a friend mentioned, as she walked by the wash stall, 'I like the purple streak in your hair', I ignored her thinking she was being funny, so the Thrush Buster sat on my hair for hours before being discovered [by me that is].

I assumed it was like Saddl Tite, so went and looked it up and had to share the irony of the description:

Instant grip. Easy to clean off. 5 oz.

Definitely the WD-40. It is what everybody uses to get the gunk out of show cows after they compete. It also takes off the grease paint like paint sticks we use for checking heats. And tree sap.

You might try skin so soft by Avon. That is pretty good at stripping hair color off of skin and other sticky stuff. Which is why I won't use it as a moisturizer, only mosquito repellant!

I've used olive oil to get pine sap off my hands and out of dog hair. it works pretty well and is non-toxic and won't damage your hair. might be bit greasy for a few washes unless you have very dry hair.

Olive Oil, then Baby Oil, then WD-40, but Goo Gone or similar harsh items as a last resort only. Then use a good amount of liquid dish detergent and wash it off your hair and skin thoroughly. If you hair is altered by perms, or color in any way it might do some interesting things to the color, or curl also.

I know when a bottle of thrush buster 'exploded' in my back seat I tried everything to get it out along with the smell. Left the windows down and the neighbor's cat decided to add to the smell with his urine. After speaking to an old friend of my dad's he said to try gasoline, and it worked. Stain and both smells gone.

I second WD-40. It gets everything out of hair, without ruining human hair or horse hair.

And yes, I too want to know how it got in human hair!

As for those with the urine issues and issues with smell in vehicles, use the same old trick that Atlanta police have always used to get urine and vomit and all those fun things that defendants leave in the back of squad cars: put lots of newspaper on it when the urine/vomit/etc is wet, and the chemicals in newsprint will get rid of the smell. Put something heavy on top of the newspaper to press it into seats/carpeting/etc.

Avon Skin So Soft. It removes just about anything.....I found out about it when the fence painting crew was using it to wipe the asphalt fence paint from their hands and arms. It is a bit disturbing to imagine what happens if you add it to the bath as directed.
    Good Luck.
