Default Rolex - sharing all activities in one thread if possible

there's a course walk thread that gets lost down the run here, then other threads for each other thing.

How about a one spot reference place?

I just saw this Groupon offer for anyone interested in the Sat night reining.

Country Music’s Lyle Lovett and Eventers David O’Connor, Bobby Costello, Allison Springer and Sinead Halpin to Compete

Default Anyone have info about the Land Rover test drive?

first time Rolex attendee here- hubby is not a horse person but I thought he would like the Land Rover test drive thing. Has anyone done this? Do they offer it all three days? Is there a fee? Is there usually a long wait? TIA! I am so looking forward to the weekend!

I haven't done it but it looked like fun. There is usually a 45 minute wait or so based upon what I saw which is why we didn't do it!

The Land Rover drive is free, and there's usually a bit of a line, but it's worth the wait! It is offered all days of the competition (not sure of the times).

LOL, well done!! Great tips and I will use them for my non-horsey husband next week. He has no idea what awaits him in KY.

I noticed last year that later Saturday, after all the horses had run and a lot of people were leaving, there was little to no wait for the Land Rovers.

PG, make sure to go by the Ecogold spot near Southern Stars Saddlery in the trade fair, They are the "host" of Horse Junkies United and that's a blog I write for. They are posting all their course walks and stuff during the week on a board there. They are planning some fun stuff.

Thank you! Lots of helpful tips, especially the lanyard. Must pick up some for my friends and I. Luckily I know several people who have gone who have already cautioned me about the weather and the layering technique. One friend went 3 years in a row - one year was snow, one year was rain, one year was sun and heat!

if you do the entire course, they can sometimes be two, even two and half hours long.
