    Default RIP Supreme Rock

    One of the truly great modern event horses was put down yesterday at age 25. It hardly seems that he could have been so old since I remember his exploits as if it were yesterday.

    He and Primmore's Pride got Pippa Funnell the only grand slam that has been won to date--although there is a chance with this Badminton.

    RIP, truly a great horse. Pippa's accomplishment is one of the great athletic achievements of all time. To win all three in the same season is really unbelievable. To win any ONE of those in a lifetime is a real accomplishment.

    What a truly wonderful horse, such a great partnership with Pippa. RIP.
