Default My kind of guy! TB from SAFE

A friend of mine posted this guy on a FB group. I love his look and wish he wasn't on the exact opposite side of the country. Isn't he outrageously kissable? And that bone! I wish I could see his lower legs as from this photo they look a touch light.

Pedigree is incredibly unusual. Very, very old style and very promising.

Viney, it's great to hear you confirm that. I thought so, as well, but am very much a newbie in pedigree review.

that was my first impression too! Not many names there that we see often in modern TBs.

WOW!!! He is stunning!! Love that head too. Agreed, what an unusual pedigree, but I like the Argentine influence there.

Yes very unusual breeding. A Man 'o War descendant. His shoulder is incredibly laid back and his neck attachment is also lovely. I love the BIG ears and almost roman nose. Decent hip too.
He looks like a lovely horse!
I was just wondering what the blue spot in his right eye was.

The Man O'War connection is with a foal by Marguerite de Valois, a daughter of Plucky Liege. Wild Music was also the granddam of Lord Gaylord, a turf/ chaser line.

Oh, my! He's local to me (well, 3 hours away) and Cam Reeves is an excellent hand with a TB. I should link this to the Area VII FB page and get him in the hands of one of our event folk. He's a hunk of horse!

Oh he is amazing! I wish I weren't such a ninny of a rider. If he turns out to be quiet, let's go get him, Sadie!

ETA: oh, he is in WA so I guess my ninny-ness is moot.

I've loved him for a while. He's super lovely, and SAFE will do an excellent job finding him a home!

BIP, if I hadn't received that totally unexpected tax bill and he wasn't a very large bill to ship away...I'd be sorely tempted. Cause what's 2 young horses to ride

Dapples! He is striking. Very curious about his personality and wonder what he can do. Thankfully am not shopping, no way no how. Better pictures are here:

Surely, there has to be a COTHer who can take this guy in, right?! He's adorable. If he were close to me and I had the $$, I would take him in a heartbeat.

BIP looked into him as a possible project for the two of us and it won't work as SAFE will only adopt out to their local area. I do understand wanting to keep them within arms reach but it is too bad as BIP is probably the best home for a horse ever!

But if you are in western WA...go visit him! Let us know how he is so we can live vicariously

I sure wish I could take him but there is no room at the inn. He's only 1/2 hour away from me I could take a look if anyone is interested...

SAFE is a wonderful rescue and it's not often they get in horses of this caliber and promise. Most often it's nice low level, non-jumping types but this one screams eventer. I'll ask Meika what her thoughts are on him.

Will only adopt in Western Washington. Go get 'em, Washingtonians!
