    I have to admit that's one I don't remember.

Yes, though not when first released. I saw it on the Disney Channel back when they ran the old school Disney shows, cartoons and movies. Followed the book somewhat, then they had to the "drama".

Sorry to learn of her death. She was always a class act.

I remember her as a Mouseketeer and the original running of Horsemasters on a long ago Sunday night Disney show.

I've seen it, too, though not in original release/showing. Watchable but not much like the book.

I just watched that the other night. Have the book somewhere too. I really liked her in that movie

Yes!! I saw it when I was little, and have tried to find it on DVD. The best I've done is VHS for a ridiculous amount (like, over a $100). If anybody finds it on DVD, I would love to know about it!

Yes! I can't remember when... Certainly not when it first came out! As a horse crazy girl, I loved it.

Absolutely remember it. Also saw it on Disney when my son was small. Fun to have a reminder of my own childhood.

Sorry she is gone, and had such a tough time the last several years. She was a class act, and very generous. Originally from nearby Utica, NY.

Oh, yes. Required viewing for every young kid back in the day. She was always the sweet bouncy little Mouseketeer (liked Darlene better, BTW). Saw The Horsemasters at a later date. Also hate to admit watching all those Annette and Frankie Avalon (swoon) movies.

    Sorry that she's gone.

Yes, I remember watching a rerun of it and tried to find it on VHS/DVD as well. Would be cool if they'd do a re-release.

    RIP Annette.

Oh yes. It was one of my favorites because it was one of the few "horsey" stories that wasn't "cowboys". I remember someone got demerits because they didn't clean under the horse's tail well enough (although that may have been the book).

Hmmm maybe this would be a good time to put my Horsemasters VHS on ebay!

Yep. I liked both as separate entities.

We watched it during a boot cleaning party in college. The next day one of the team captains told me "throw your heart over the fence and follow it!" She forgot to tell me to make sure the horse did, too, and I went over without him.... That incident plus the fact I was named after her combined to mean my team name was Dinah from that day forward.

Yeah, book was MUCH better. Made me want to sign up for Porlock Vale Riding School and get my BHS certificate - which ended up being financiall unfeasible. I had a horse like Cornish Pasty - a miserable sod on the flat, but jump anything, especially cross-country!

We are going to play it on the projector for the spring movie night here at the stable. Though I don't know if the kids will like it as much as us adults
