IFG - I have a feeling vanilla mint will be the next limited edition scent! I did a small tester with I and it smells pretty yummy!

comingback - I am so excited, so I'm glad y'all are sharing in that excitement!! I decided to let all the orders know it was going out but I know that with my day job and needing to make a few more, it will be Wednesday before they ship - since you got that notice, did that seem ok? Etsy automatically sends the shipping email as soon as I print the label, and I am not crazy about that, because sometimes I need to print the labels to organize orders and yet can't ship immediately. So I thought it was better toneditbthe email to say when it would ship.

That way, if it goes out a little sooner, people are happily surprised. Instead of me having to say "sorry! I lost last night to my colicky mare and visiting with the vet!" Which, while true in this case (she's fine this morning! Whew!) doesn't help if folks were expecting it to ship today and I missed the date.

Kate - I will make sure yours is in there!

    Thank you all so much!

I always think more communication is better than less, so I appreciated the update When I purchased it said the estimated ship date was the 16th, I was happy to get the tracking number with your note that it was going on Wednesday.

I'll be buying some soap with my next paycheck after all these reviews and let me know how the conditioner goes. I have an older western saddle that is super comfy (I started western and have started riding some english) but it dries out super fast so I've been trying different conditioners over the years but I haven't found one I really like. They either smell bad, have a weird texture, or leave my hands feeling gross.

I must confess that I love this soap the more that I use it! I can't believe that it keeps my tack looking so lovely and conditioned!

I've also noticed that my two girths have suddenly become much more supple through regular use of this product.

I will certainly be buying more in the near future!

Thanks again for such a great product!!!

Ah-Ha! So, yours went out Monday I knew I had seen your name, but I did ask the production and shipping manager pack the rest of those, so I wasn't 100% sure.

There should be a number of folks receiving it this week -- I love getting the reviews! I think I might be a saddle-soap review junkie!

Still anxiously awaiting our slow-as-molasses postal system to deliver the guinea pig package to Canada! I went to a show on Sunday and got rained/sleeted on and all my tack was soaked, so I really want to try it out on that. I had to condition my saddle since I needed to use it, but I have a separate bridle and martingale that are now dried out and waiting for some TLC.

Hopefully it comes before the weekend as I've got another show coming up on Monday and I want to try it out before that.
I've spent most of my life riding horses. The rest I've just wasted.

I just received mine! I will be posting a review shortly (I'm very picky, so I'll be honest!). I ordered citrus-ginger. I'm not crazy about the smell inside the jar, but its by no means bad. I love that it came with a sponge (even though I buy those huge packs, they always walk off quickly...), and the candies were so sweet

Question for you....I have my soap, love it so far...
except I left the sponge in the container and it absorbed a lot of the soap. I must have put it in there too wet? Now am afraid to store inside the container.

Also, since (confession) i haven't been religious about cleaning my tack after every ride until now, there seems to be a 'left over' film on the leather. Should I rinse it off. Seems that I was reading on here that you didn't need to, am I using too much product...I'm just not sure as it doesn't lather really BIG.

Hope that is clear as mud!

I do store my sponge in the container, but if you put it in there Really Wet it will dissolve soap. It is best to wring it as dry as possible before returning it to the jar.

As far as the film - are you wiping on and then wiping off? You should not see any soap left on leather when you are done. It isn't really rinsing off, but if you don't wipe at the end, you leaving dirt and soap film on. It has conditioners in it, but unlike a balm or conditioner, it isn't designed to be left on as it would if it were going to soak into the leather. It won't hurt anything, but if you are seeing a film, it sounds like too much is being left on.

    Does that help?

I got mine, can't wait to use it this weekend, but there was no 'backstory' included? Is that not being sent out anymore with the product? I love that you included instructions!

You should start a map and color in the states/countries that your product has been sold to!

I'm glad you got it! Since the story of the soap went on the website, I stopped including it in with soap when it shipped, simply because I included color photos in the page and I didn't want to try to pint them all at home.

I do have an abbreviated version of it in the brochures we just had printed though, and I think I will start to include one of those in each box. We did them approximately bookmark size, in hopes that folks would want to hang on to them!

A map would be great fun! I need to get my DH to help with that -- that is right up his alley!

I look forward to your review!

I received the soap in the mail yesterday. Super fast shipping! I will try it this weekend on my disgustingly dirty dressage saddle.

Got mine yesterday, thank you soooooo much! I love the scents, not overpowering at all, pleasantly in the background.

Stupid work ruined my driving time this morning (why do people insist I actually *do* something for payment? Can't they just pay me cuz I'm nice? ). So, with too little time to drive, I had 30 minutes of thumb twiddling time and decided to try out the soap on a pair of the most disgrosting harness traces you ever did see.

I had purchased this harness used a while back, and while it came to me in safe useable condition it was definitely driven hard and put up wet most of its life. I've attempted to scrub it to show ring status many times but never got there. Some of the saddle jockeys from the previous owner are SO stubborn, if I scrubbed hard enough to lift them I actually started pulling the color out of the leather.

So armed with a fruit scrubber I put HS soap to the task today, and I must say I was shocked how easily it pulled up the grime! I only went over each section twice with only a moderate amount of scrubbing and 95% of the grime - even the previous owner's grime I was considering scraping off with a butter knife - came away before my eyes!

I did take a soft wet cloth and wipe away the dirty foam/film each time, and when I was done my traces were a touch thirsty feeling so I did need to condition them a hair... but goodness, they're now clean!! First time in... well in the time I've owned them certainly! What a gratifying feeling.

My collection of soaps and leather products is vast, I try everything that comes my way. This is hands down the best grime lifting soap I've ever tried. I am impressed and ever so grateful!

Hey, can you make a soap for sheath cleaning? I need a grime lifter there too for my perpetually gross gelding

Oh my! I've never thought about making one for sheath cleaning! I have one of those geldings that loves it so, so much -- it is embarrassing to clean his if anyone is watching -- shoot, there are times that he embarrasses *me* if I'm there alone! I would imagine he would enjoy being the test subject for the soap . . .

I'm so glad it worked so well for you! And, I really do prefer to do it with fast shipping. If I can get an inventory stockpiled and can ship as soon as orders come in, I think it will stay fast, but mostly it is made to order, and so, sometimes orders come in faster than I get soap made. Which is a darn good problem to have, really!

I just love getting your reviews!
