Okay, so...shipping is the same if you buy 2 right? I've never heard of flavoured saddle soap before, and love it! Especially if it doesn't leave icky residue like regular glycerine does, which is one of my biggest pet peeves. I'll happily pay extra for that!

Event4Life, it's scented, not "flavored"... Don't eat it!

I'm anxiously waiting, and wearing cruddy boots until it comes...lol.

Shipping *should* be the same if you buy two, but I haven't figured out how to make etsy do that yet. I think I need to change the setting on "shipping if bought with another item." I set that for the same charge, thinking it wouldn't charge people twice, but it did. So, what I am going to do as I ship this afternoon is to offer to refund the second shipping charge.

I'm going to go and change it to zero now and see if that will fix it!

Such a learning curve on all this stuff!

Thanks for pointing out the things I need to check -- this really is the best market research anyone could hope for!

I need to add to my label -- "COTH tested, COTH approved."

If you start offering shipping to other countries do research the cost before doing it. Shipping over seas can be pricey.

I just went in and did that! You can tell that this is definitely amateur hour!

But, I guess you gotta learn somewhere and I can't say enough times how much I appreciate y'all helping me sort this out!

Whew -- I made more soap last night than I've ever done in one day, and it is so exciting! Now, I have to send them all on their way and wait anxiously for more reviews!

Those folks that have asked about samples -- I am still working on sending what I have left of those. The pile is pretty small, but I will send them out in the order that I received requests and let you know whether or not they are on the way!

    Wheeeeee!

Congratulations Bensmom, you really did it!

I had everyone at the barn using it yesterday. Even the pickiest of product users thought it was great. Two are ordering some right away.

Bensmom, I'll be ordering tomorrow. In the meantime, do you have any experience with moldy tack and your soap? Based on what I've been reading I'm pretty sure it'll remove mold, but does it retard future blooms and do you have to use a different sponge on moldy tack?

Regardless of what she says, I would use a new sponge on moldy tack and break off a piece of the bar to use so that you don't spread spores around.

I have used my soap on moldy tack many, many times!

i usually use a fresh sponge and will sometimes (shhhhhh) put a little vinegar in one water bucket. I do mold with water and one sponge and then go back over with the conditioning soap.

i don't put anything into the soap to retard mold, because I haven't found anything that isn't too harsh and that I'd feel comfortable using. If I dry out my tack with vinegar, that is my choice, but I wouldn't do that to anyone else!

    Does that help?

Just wanted to say that I was just in the tack room, and fondled my jump bridle (I only use it a couple of times a week). IT IS SO FREAKING SOFT. And not sticky. And shiny.

I have good quality strap goods and take decent care of it. This is probably the nicest it has ever felt.

I think I need to jump on this bandwagon. I've been fighting with my bridle for a couple of months now (it had a bad experience with something atmospheric last summer and hasn't been the same) and I haven't quite gotten it back up to par yet.

Important question: This is scented. My horse loves things that are scented. Particularly he loves to put them in his mouth. (This has resulted in a change of shampoo on the part of yours truly because I quite literally could not get him out of my hair.) Which of these scents do people find the least appetizing? (This is a fully serious question. I don't need him eating his bridle.)

Are there any samples left? I'd love to try this! (Sorry if this was already covered; I skipped from page 1 to page 5!)
