I love the shaped hunter girth I just got from Smartpak. I believe it was about $170. It runs really long and stretches a bit, so you are probably ok with 56". I like a 54" girth. I ordered a 54" which I am now dedicating to my larger horse, and have ordered another in 52".

I got a 58" Classic Equine (I think that was the brand...from HorseLife in Alberta) that didn't look like the elastic stretched a ton, and I didn't use it much but it measures more like a 61". I got a County Logic for my guy and it's a very nice girth. I looked at the M. Toulouse but couldn't find any in Canada, and County had a dark brown 58" in stock they got to me in 3 days.
I have one horse that wears a 54, one that wears a 58 and one wears a 60.
You can find the 58 but it's not easy. And the 60 are really difficult to find. What I did was buy the girth of my choice in the largest size I could get and take it to a local tack repair place and they removed the buckles (leather) and made extensions to get the length I want. It was about 15.00 You can have the elastic extended but it was cheaper to just extend the leather stitched piece.
