I know that the foals/young ones I have seen (only 8 so far so not too many I know) have been of excellent quality. Very nice, correct with above average gaits and good strength behind. There is always a lovely presence/expression about them.
Hopefully there will be some other feedback. I don't have one yet but will be breeding one of my mares to him shortly. Very excited! Good luck with yours and keep us posted!
I've had 2 and have 1 (possibly 2 - don't ask ) due in May. They were both outrageous movers with nice conformation and a LOT of bone. The one out of the Stedinger mare is SUPER sensitive and was a bit standoffish as a baby but he has grown out of that. The other one was very, very friendly and outgoing.
You can see pictures of them as foals here: http://foxwoodhanoverians.com/2011FOALS.html
Here is a link to a video of the BD/Stedinger colt as a yearling. This shows only about 1/4 of his movement (as I can't run any faster.....)
timing matters... :-)
rather than posting those foal pics the other day i should have waited a few days to get to see 4 yr bogart under saddle ... turns out, he is trained in a bran nearby and i went to see him yesterday.
so cool if you see your selfbred foal again and even more excting to recognize dam's heritage and tell sire and damlie influence in the mature horse!
