    How is the half-wall jump? Is it causing problems for many horses? The picture on Facebook looked pretty freaky.

    I haven't seen anyone stop at it or even have it down.

    Rough for J. Springsteen and Sharn Wordley... Including them, only four without rails! Sounds like a tough course and a true show jumping test!

    McLain won.
    Reed Kessler was second.
    Sharn Wordley third with just a time fault in the first round.

    Does anyone know how they determine who is invited? I was surprised not to see Kent and Katie Dinan on the list.

    ^ Maybe they were invited, but declined in order to head to the World Cup Finals. I know Kent's horses left for Europe in the last day or two.

    From the prize list:
    http://www.stadiumjumping.com/upload...3_web_2-11.pdf

    $200,000 Gene Mische American Invitational CSI 3*
    Rolex World Ranking Competition - Entry Fee: None
    This competition is limited to thirty (30) athletes. An athlete may only ride one horse.
    Invitations will be issued as follows:
    ONE (1) invitation issued to the winning rider of the 2012 American Invitational - Mario Deslauriers
    FOUR (4) invitations to be issued at the Organizing Committee’s & FEI’s discretion (2 OC and 2 FEI).
    FIFTEEN (15) invitations to be issued to the riders who have accumulated the most money won from the following classes held during the competitions:
    1) Class 103 - American Gold Cup CSI 4*-W, September 16, 2012;
    2) Classes 108 & 109 - Live Oak International CSI 2*, March 20 - 24, 2013. 3) Classes 100 & 101 - Tampa Bay Classic, March 27 - 31, 2013;
    TEN (10) or all remaining invitations will be issued to riders based on their standing from Rolex/USEF Ranking List (expanded to include foreign riders) as of Friday, March 29, 2013.

    Agreed with MHM, I know Kent's horses left for Europe just recently. With Katie, it may be that she chose to save Nunu for the same reason or she has an impossibly busy schedule at Harvard and may have to pick and choose which big shows to do - I'm sure the World Cup Final is top priority for her right now!

    It's crazy to think how much she has on her plate. Most people would have enough to keep them busy with either attending Harvard OR showing at that level. Good for her for making it all work!

    No issues here for anyone...more of a mental freak out for those who walked the course and stood next to it!
    The biggest issue seemed to be the 2nd element of the triple, which was an oxer with a liverpool. It is where Hillary fell off and I am sure, got a bath.
