    my next goal is silver medal. after that, the Century Club. Hopefully in that order...lol
    We don't get less brave; we get a bigger sense of self-preservation........

    This is one of the reasons I love dressage . . . it really IS a lifetime sport!

    As I age, my horses might get shorter to make mounting easier (and the 'drop' shorter if I fall), but for the most part, I can continue to ride.

    Does anyone know if he succeeded?

    YOu know this just made my day! I looked at the picture too and enlarged it on my screen. He is sitting very nicely on that horse and the horse has such a kind eye. It is just the real culmination of so much good horsemanship on his part and on the part of the people who brought that horse along. Sounds like the horse is 26? He looks great!! So does Sy. BRAVO!!!

    Usually you post these & I expect that the horse is a senior, too.
    His horse isn't even old.

    Agree, what a great story! The article says the combined age is 105, so the horse is actually 16 =) They sure make a workmanlike pair and I wish them the best!
