    Default New names/show names?

I recently imported a thoroughbred from Europe. She's 4 years old, 16h, and is a dark bay, almost black. I need a name for her, and a show name. Maybe catchy, but elegant? Clever? I dont know, impress me!(:

This is a litte off topic, but I'm curious as to why one would import a green thoroughbred. I'm not being snarky I am just honestly ignorant. I understand there are wild selections of WBs that people go to look at overseas or a TB with proven performance, but what is the advantage to importing a young TB from Europe versus buying an American one? Are they bred specifically to be sport horses?

Again, I'm asking out of ignorance and curiosity and not impudence.

    What are her lines?

Also I've always wanted a new Zealand tb. But I'm not going to pay the amount it takes to get one here lol.

I believe TBs from Europe, at least TBs bred for racing, are more sound. American TB racing has been breeding a lot more for speed than for soundness recently, and I think they use less drugs. I know German mares raced on drugs aren't permitted to be used for breeding. As for sporthorse TBs, I have no idea.

Here are my names, but you should post a pic!

    Names:
    Dark Chocolate Candy
    Oscuro (means dark in spanish)
    Natalia
    Talienta (a spin on talent/talented)
    With Interest
    Impunity
    Incognito
    Her Shananigans
    Recoil
Of the heart-aching, hard-working, hope-having, horse-loving and horse-less variety. We are a sad species indeed.

How amazing! to import a horse from abroad. Wow, I am sooo jealous.

Emmm, now let me see names. Well why dont you go ahead and tell me a bit about him like where he comes from? his sires name, maybe his temperament and color? what are you competing in jumping? dressage?

I would love to suggest some names. :-)

According to the OP, the horse is a dark bay mare and seeing as this is the H/J forum, it'll likely be jumping.

Ahem. Is this not the same 15 year-old poster who recently was impersonating Gabriela Mershad on this board?

(Apologies to OP if I am wrong).

I think so too. And her third username doesn't know if her newly imported horse is a mare of a gelding.

If this is the case, why is she being allowed to continue with not two, but THREE usernames????

At this point the OP's posts are screaming "horse crazy teenage girl who does not actually have a horse, but concocts an online fantasy." Harmless, I suppose, in light of some of the other fakers who've visited before, but still.

I don't know. Last time I pointed out this craziness I got accused of cyberbullying. So don't ask me.

And people asked "why are you so irked" and I explained how irritating it is when people use the forum to pimp their own businesses/eBay auctions while pretending to be neutral/disinterested.

    Here's ANOTHER example...

Should we just have them rename the Hunter/Jumper board to "pretend to be a neutral third party while posting thinly veiled advertisements for your business" board.
