Question Jacket with a zipper instead of buttons??

Question -- I have a very cute Pikeur jacket that has a zipper instead of 4 buttons. Someone told me that it wouldn't be "legal" at a recognized dressage show. ?? (I have worn it to a couple recognized shows without incident) I looked up the "Dress Rules" in the USEF Dressage Rules and there are no specific rules about jacket closure .... just "short riding coat in a conservative color". What say COTH veterans?

Steffen's new shad is zipped, not buttoned. It replaced his old "lucky" coat

Thanks! That's what I thought and I really like my jacket. :-)
