Ah, then they have a way to go yet before they get here. But, the turkey vultures made it up here this week.

I am just reading a novel by one of my favorite authors, who writes of village life in England, and in the current chapter, the swallows have just returned! Summer in Fairacre, by Miss Read.

I saw a bluebird last Saturday--first bluebird I have seen in years!
    Rack on!

When we moved here 4 years ago I was SO excited to see Bluebirds. They and Cardinals are just so bright and pretty - can't help but smile when I see either. And this time of year we see both! And I saw my first hummingbird of the season at the barn yesterday...welcome spring!
