I just got a really nifty but ugly Windows program from a Russian developer through Giveaway of The Day. It's a database program that includes a small word processor and a table function that emulates the design of a spreadsheeet. I haven't yet learned all that it can do, but I think it is a treasure so far.

One click and you've got a spreadsheet like table that is incredibly handy for research. Several more clicks and you've got it formatted the way you like. It works like a standard spreadsheet, but doesn't do the math functions. It WILL sort, though.

Name of the program is AllMyNotes.

Because it's one database instead of a whole bunch of related programs, it's very small footprint.

So far, I think it's the best thing since sliced bread.
