I keep seeing these mentioned in a lot of the tall boots threads and wanted to know what everyone was referring to. Is it the gel heel pad you can place in you r shoe or something entirely different? Where do you find them? I can only afford an off the rack pair of boots and since I am falling between regular and tall heights it is looking like I will have to invest in a pair for my boots.
They are small rubber wedges that you put in your boot. Lots of people use them while breaking in tall boots so they don't kill the backs of their knees, lol. You should be able to find them at tack stores...I'm thinking of getting a pair to help with my new tall boots. They should be a couple of dollars...

I had them in my tall boots while I was breaking them in for the exact reason Ainsley stated above. Mine were Ariat brand, and I got them at my local tack shop. They're also in the Dover catalog, I believe.
People call themselves animal lovers, then let their dogs chase the squirrels. You're scaring the shit out of the squirrels, you schmuck!
