Default Spin off from SO SO MAD

    Saw this on fbook today

My 1st thought was it was really cute, until the kid took his hat off at the end, no helmet. Seriously??? Doing rodeo, probably age 7? wearing no helmet??? Now, that amazes me. I don't care that the pony had a leadline on, that wasn't going to stop him getting kicked in the head.

Typical at any rodeo. Go to your local barrel race and see how many teeny tiny kids are up on way too big for them horses, flying around tight turns and nary a helmet in sight. It's very very sad.

Agreed Banshee - worries me. Somehow though, on a bucking horse, the whole intention is to throw the person, it just seems doubly dumb.

I found it interesting (mildly) that on the rodeo post there were no red equal sign avatars but several on the other.

clearly, I am bored at work today...

That would be really interesting for a sociology project, lizathenag.

I do find it surprising that helmets are not mandatory since High School and Junior rodeo (at least in my area) requires helmets.
