    Great race for Animal Kingdom!

I heard discussion by Joanne on HRTV - that the US barn is so far away, they have to walk an hour to the track, but the others don't? My guess for the reasoning is security, but still what a handicap if the US horses have that requirement vs the others... Which makes Animal Kingdom's win that much more impressive.

Too bad he's headed for Australia! But lucky you, Polydor...

And the way others backed up in other races. Wish I knew what the temps were, and again, wish they would be published regularly in PPs...
Surely if they could have vanned him closer to the track if it was an hour walk? Though I guess that could be used as a good warm up.

CVPeg: Will have to go see what stud he's at and see if we are sending anyone to him.

Because Arrowfield offered Team Valor the best deal. There was apparently little to no interest from US studs. His bloodlines would not be considered particularly attractive to US breeders. In fact the reason he is still racing as a 5yo and wasn't retired as a 3yo is because of his unfashionable bloodlines.

However, his northern hemisphere breeding arrangements have not been finalized yet, so there is the possibility he could still stand in the US for the northern breeding season. They will have to outbid the Japanese and Europeans, so it will be interesting to see if anyone steps up to the plate.

Maybe it would be nice to bring in some new blood. A little different?
