I have a late 1980's 2 Horse Bumper Pull Kingston trailer in better than expected shape. We purchased the trailer in NH and used it to haul my mare from NH to NC, then to SC. Since then it has been under cover for the past 15 years.
A local gentleman has estimated $3000.00 to make it road-worthy plus paint job inside and out.
Back to original question. DH and I are debating whether to put money in this trailer, which is a good solid trailer but is not my 'dream' trailer.
Sell or Trade-in this trailer on my preferred trailer which is a 2 or better yet 3 horse goose neck. I am more interested in the Dressing Room/Storage area than the full LQ's many goosenecks now have.
Pro for this trailer:
Bumper hitch - easy to find a tow vehicle
It is here already - as in "bird in hand"
Current horses fit easily in this trailer.
Pro for "dream" trailer:
$3000 will make a huge dent in price
Will be all that I want, at least at this time
Only have one trailer to maintain
