    Talking Got a new puppy

She's coming home next Saturday. I've never had two dogs at once so this should be interesting.
She'll start her show career when she turns 6 months. She's such a cutie.

Shiba Inu! I've known a few and they're great if not complicated dogs; yours is especially cute! Name?

I'm afraid I haven't named her yet. I'm still trying to find a Japanese name that I like, but I don't want more than two syllables and it can't start with a K - other dog's name starts with a K.
So right now she's "Sammy". My friend likes Miko, but it doesn't grab me.
Her weird show name was easier to come up with than her everyday name.

Complicated is a nice way of putting it. Hardheaded, obstinate, stubborn... but oh so fuzzy and cute.

I know one named Molly that is more complicated than any woman I know! LOL

Warning-Miko is a Disney name. I didn't know that and despite my hardline policy one of the kids snuck a cat named Miko past me...

I knew a SI that came from Japan-her owner was Japanese also and I remember the clinic I worked at was spaying the dog at the time that the tsunami hit Japan and the client lost her uncles and aunts and cousins in the disaster... That dog had a Japanese name and for the life of me I can't remember it...

shows up as Meeko in Pocahontas, the racoon. I was so mad at my son when I realized it was a Disney name and the dang cat was 2 years old! LOL

I really didn't like Disney movies and I was rabidly against naming animals after them!

Super cute - what a face!

I recently went from one dog to two, and I'm actually sorry I didn't do it sooner. My original female was just dying for a pal!

Two dogs are so much better than one.

Congrats on the fuzzy! So adorable!

I have a few more pics. These are after we picked her up yesterday. My older dog is being a real asshole, but he needs to get over it. Shibas will often pick the wrong choice even when the right one gets them treats.

What a cutie! If I hadn't heard that they aren't a beginner's dog, a Shibu would definitely be on my want list.
