    Default Large Mattes Sheepskin Pads

I suppose I could have put this in H/J or a variety of other forums, but I'm hoping my fellow eventers can help me out.

I just recently bought a large Mattes half pad to better fit my 17.5" saddles, and it is quite large indeed. It fits on the rooomy side, but I like it better than the medium which was quite snug and the panels of the saddle would creep up over the sheepskin rolls in the back.

So my question is quite simple... The back of the half pad now hangs over the saddle pad by a few inches. Is this the case for any of you? Taboo for presentation at all? Annoying because that little sliver of the bottom of the pad will get dirty?

    Thanks all!

Mine does this too, maybe by 1" or so? I don't think it looks too bad. It really only does it with my jump saddle and pads. Dressage pads aren't an issue with hang-over.

Speak for yourself! For me, everything is an issue with a hangover!

No actual advice on Mattes pads here, just being a troll.

Haha, that's why I said hang-over not hangover. :-) Of course everything is an issue with a hangover :-P

Oh lord, look where this is going...

At any rate, it does hang over with my dressage pads too...

mine does as well, because i used those cheap (white, bleachable) dover brand baby pads for every day, and even the dressage ones are a bit small. mine just get that last inch or so dirty

Mine hang over. Never really been an issue. I school in a black pad and show in a white. The black hides the dirt, the white not so much.

I guess mine hangs over, but I put a pad between it and the saddle, so I can't really tell! I do definitely prefer the large over my medium (medium REALLY doesn't work with the new jump saddle, anyway....at least I can still use it with the dressage saddle).
