    Default Chestnut CANTER cuties

These two guys on CANTER Illinois just look so sweet. I only wish they were a little bit closer to me.

Funny, my mom just sent me The Crafty Nickle. I love his eye - he has a very sweet look about him.

I really love The Crafty Nickle. I can't find his pedigree under that name though.

I really love the first guy. Very handsome and I love how quiet he is. A good brain, to me, is better than perfect conformation any day.

Its right there. But I was lost when I spelled Nickel "e" "l"

Check out that pretty pathetic and inconsistent career.

Pathetic, yes, but there's nothing about the dates and timing of his races that makes me think "inconsistent."

Just tossing it out there that his race record doesn't suggest any giant lurking lameness or anything, just owners/trainers who get off to a slow start each year. (Or who knows, I don't even know when those specific tracks start up.) And a horse who clearly doesn't want to run.

Which one? Sorry, this sentence is a bit confusing, can't figure out what horse you are talking about.

No kidding! He's consistently terrible The one time he actually outran a couple horses was in the slop. Imagine the horses he beat just hate running in the mud more than he does! (Or the pace was so slow due to track conditions that he actually had a shot!)

I think they are both super cute and certainly worth a look in person!

Yes, they are both super cute. I like Nick the best, but both seem to have some real smarts and aren't goofy. I envy whoever gets them! (And they are in my area, too... Racing starts up here again on Friday, so this should be a good time to get these guys cheap --- trainers aren't going to want them around if they aren't running.)

That bareback ride pose on Nickle is too funny. Someone who needs a safe, happy ride needs to snap him up.

Ooh. And see some of my favorite names in that pedigree too. (who am I kidding? If it has big ears and Dixieland Band in the pedigree I almost don't care about anything else!) Hoist the Flag, Gulch, and Dixieland Band? Makes me happy.

Can I add another chestnut? This one's in WV. Sorry the picture is from behind but he's really cute, I promise!
