Funny you should mention it OP, as I've been eyeballing these for the last few days...

Hmmm... I still feel as if I haven't really gotten an answer, then again, maybe my post just wasn't clear.

I was wondering if brown boots would be acceptable in A Circuit hunter/eq classes?

IMO, brown boots would not be acceptable in the equitation ring.

If you don't want to follow rules about which days are formal/informal in the hunter ring, then I guess brown boots would be ok there whenever.

Acceptable? maybe, but not conventional. Appropriate; No.

    Just my opinion.

Seriously, nobody cares what color your boots are in the hunter ring. It's not about you. As long as it looks pretty and you are not distracting from the "whole picture," wear what you want.

Do you want them? Yes? Then get them.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

No you're not. And no you haven't. :-) It's so fun to find folks to whom 'remember when' doesn't mean the 80s or 90s.

I vote yes for the hunter classes (I think they look really classy) and no for the eq.

No for the eq, yes for the hunter ring. You obviously want them, they will look great, go for it!

I have the opportunity to buy a pair of brown Parlantis. They're gorgeous, but is the brown too much in combination with the zipper-elastic-logo tab-leather sock look? Should I order a more traditional pair?

I wore brown boots in the Adult eq and Adult hunters at Lake Placid and nobody died of shock.

I would recommend buying them, then sending them straight to me.
