    Wow. Good on the driver for thinking of the horse in that situation, and good on the horse for being as cooperative as he/she possibly could've been at a time like that.
    If i smell like peppermint, I gave my horse treats.
    If I smell like shampoo, I gave my horse a bath.
    If I smell like manure, I tripped.

    That guy should get an award. some kind of heads up. not to mention strength!
    Horse calmed down relatively well, considering, many would have just bolted. Cool!

    That is some quick damned thinking because all that horse wants to do is win the race -regardless of what he was dragging behind him or how many legs he was on to do it. Bless him for saving that horse from injury.

    This is why I always laugh when someone suggests that driving would be a great option for someone who can't ride. It is, but when things go wrong driving, it can be exponentially worse for the driver and the horse.

    Now that's impressive! He saved that horse and possibly others from some potential serious injuries.
