He looks awesome for 9 years old and 70+ starts! Some slight rounding to his ankles maybe, but otherwise clean legged. Pretty boy.

Just as an aside, his owner/trainer Clyde Martin is a great guy and takes awesome care of his horses. Most of them train off the farm, so are really down to earth.

Here's the pedigree for all you family tree gurus:

I'm not much of an expert on pedigrees (think 3rd grade education) but I've noticed many of the horses I like have Roberto in there fairly close.

Lear Fan is one of my all time favorite stallions!

I believe they did a story about the trainer on HRTV's Inside Information. Seems like a good guy.

Clyde takes great care of his horses. He does all the work himself from stalls to riding and it shows. The horses are well cared for and well ridden. I believe this horse is now back on the farm hanging out.

He looks so much like my guy. Some shared relatives. Mine only had 3 starts but he's 18, flexes sound and runs Training in a side pull ;-)

He is a lovely quality horse...although at 9 with no re education the price will scare quick lookers off....definitely for a non reseller worth a look..

I was thinking that too, JBR. It's just not in the budget when realistically he would probably be a resell project.

But, dang, he is so classy I just can't get him out of my head!

    Anyone know him IRL?

Yes, I took his listing hence my remarks on him being a total class horse. He walked him out of the stall and I immediately thought he was special. Jogged sound, very clean legs, big bone, nice feet and just the look of a wise horse. Clyde rides them and cares for them himself so he really knows his horses.

2 cents regarding the price - there is a good chance the owner/trainer/jockey is trying to find a great home and weed out tire kickers - so is setting the price to reflect that. For serious buyers that meet the owners concern for a good home (he loves this guy!) price may be negotiable? Anyone really serious about this guy, should go look and take it from there.

Gah! He is such a stunner. I just love the pleasant and wizened expression.

If someone hasn't scooped him up in 30 days I'll send a trailer

    ^This

I don't find the price to be inappropriate to this horse ... also suspect that it is negotiable to the right home
