Rolex is going to sponsor a ship !?! I hope it's a horse themed cruise ship!

All joking aside, the FEI pulled Rolex as their title sponsor. No official word yet, that I've heard, if that will affect event sponsorship at rolex. If you do a search there is a long thread on this topic from a couple of weeks ago.

Rolex Watch USA, IIRC, and there was thread on this, is in through next year. After that, who knows? If the FEI kills off the only NA 4* because of its greed and lack of concern for eventing, the US really ought to pull out--but won't. Perhaps Lexington Darley TB Farm would become the sponsor if Rolex bails. (Said with sarcasm and irony).

Eventing also stands to lose the Rolex Grand Slam because of the Longine's sponsorship.

I think perhaps HSBC got involved in the first place because the horse sports were in Hong Kong in 2008; just as Alltech got involved because of WEG at Lexinigton in 2010. I would not be at all surprised if Alltech bailed after WEG 2014.

It's hardly surprising that large concerns pull out. I doubt that they get much for their investment, and they don't owe the sport s--t. HSBC has monster fines to pay, and the only reason Rolex stays in is because they reap rewards in the rest of the world. Face it, equestrian sports in the USA are really small potatoes. International entries at RK3DE would probably disappear if the Classics series is not picked up by another major sponsor.
