    Is it streaming live anywhere?

If it is, I have not seen it mentioned anywhere. I'm watching in person.

Charlotte Jacobs is leading the first round so far. Lillie Keenan in second almost halfway through round one.

Scores are being posted on www.Showgroundslive.com as they go.

Thanks. Watching the scores too. Not quite the same as seeing it live I'm afraid... Keep us posted if you can.

Judges include George Morris, Jeffery Welles, and Alex Jayne together on one side of the ring, and Cynthia Hankins, Anne Kursinski, and Jimmy Torano together on the other side. Reed Kessler is judging the schooling area.

For those not familiar with the format of this class, the kids qualify throughout WEF by winning an equitation class at 3'6". They do this class without any help from their trainers. They walk the course without trainers, school with just the help of their grooms, and are not allowed to communicate with anyone but the groom once the class starts.

The judge in the schooling area awards points from 0-6 for their preparation, and those points are added to the score they get in the show ring.

The top 12 come back for a second round, and then after that, the top four come back to test, which in this class usually involves switching horses.

Tori Colvin just took over the lead with a beautiful round.

Sounds like a Pony Club kind of philosophy - standards to aspire to and study for, practice, and achieve. I think this is a very valuable event. I would like to look into it for my granddaughter to aspire to. Where are these classes being held, these days? Where can I look up the information on this particular division?

Darn, just missed Tori's ride. Stupid Shownet keeps "experiencing technical difficulties" and booting me off. And murphy's law it happens when one of the top riders goes

MHM - what gave Allison Toffolon the low score? Did she pull a rail? Missed that one too...

I'm not keeping a score card, so I won't swear to it, but I think she may have been the one whose horse got a bit strong with her. She didn't circle, but there was a little wrestling involved if I'm thinking of the right one.

Sounds like a very interesting class. I hadn't heard if it before.

I would have enjoyed watching. There are some talanted kids out there.!
I like to see Tori Colvin riding. Always such a self possessed and quiet rider. Did something happen with her ride? I don't see a score..

It is a "special event" type of class held towards the end of the WEF circuit each year. The specs are in the WEF prize list, which is online. Here you go- scroll down to page 76:

The second round course includes counter cantering a jump, trotting a jump, and demonstrating a simple change of lead after the last jump.
