So I finally got my tb gelding to eat the equipride. I doused it with a couple ounces of CocoSoya and he decided it was edible. However, for the last month or two, he has been getting quite spicey. This coordinates with when I started the equipride. Also coordinates with spring, and a whole bunch of things but... Anyway, he is literally just dying to go run and play and unfortunately he has a solo pasture (he went thru 3 roommates and their owners all said he was too much for their horses ). I am beginning to feel that he is looking at ME as his playmate and dosn't understand why I don't want to play rear, strike, bite, chew, run and buck with him!!!
Anyway, just wondering if anyone has seen equipride make their horse hot. My two mares are doing great on it, and since I just got him to eat it, I dont really want to quit it if it is highly unlikely to be the problem.
personal champ - that is what i am leaning towards. A deficiency now met. I put my boy out in the big field with a couple other horses last night and he ran and ran and ran until he was steaming! When he came in he was just as calm and happy as can be. Guess I will just have to do that before I ride!
I must say though, a thoroughbred in full stride is a beautiful sight! Even one who was too slow to race.
