Default Question about Sport Horse - Dressage vs Hunter type

I was looking at a prize list, and the SHIH in divided into Dressage type and Hunter type. (I'm sorry if this has been asked and answered before...)

How do I know what my horse is?

    Thanks ahead of time!

Aside from the basic conformational differences (which may be less relevant if this is a breed-specific class), a dressage type will show a greater natural ability to carry its weight on its hindquarters and move in an uphill fashion.

Also, most shows that are offering these splits are allowing horses to cross enter.
