Our one cat gets monthly prednisone shots to alleviate the symptoms of hypercalcemia...I think the clinic calls them "predate" shots. I asked about the strength of dosags & was told "moderate". She just had her 10th shot & we're noticing that she's becoming increasingly dominant. She has always been a shy cat (was a feral kitty when we rescued her). She's always gotten along with the other cats & dog....she's the type to run away if someone wants the cat bed she's on, etc. Now, she's increasingly territorial - she has claimed 1 water bowl as her own & will stalk & chase any animal that goes near it. Yesterday, she smacked her cuddle buddy upside the head when he stretched while laying next to her. Is there such a thing as roid rage in cats? She is 9 yrs old & we've never seen her be this witchy.
