73 degrees here today. Snow rolling in tomorrow.
Mud is a way of life in KY. Did we invent the mud room?

My SO just told me we are getting 6-10 inches on Tuesday. ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can deal with colder temps- down to freezing I'm fine- but I HATE ice. And the snow has gotten old. It's ok in December and a bit of January- but now I have daffodils and crocuses poking their leaves out of the ground but we are getting another damn storm. ARGH!!!!!!!
Ride? Yeah right. The weather and the rest of my life have not been cooperating. I'm lucky if I've managed to get on once a week this winter.

This is the wettest winter I can recall. It was cold, but not freezing cold. I only had a frozen hose once, and no ice I couldn't break in my trough. Our normal high is upper 40s/50s though, and this year it was just 30-40 the entire time. I am so over rain/mud/dreary skies. We are something like 10" over on rain, so it should be a decent grass/hay season, assuming the sun ever comes out.

I'm ready for spring, mud and all!!!
A year ago, we had 70*, the potatoes were planted, and I was starting on the landscaping.
Today we have 6 inches of snow with more falling. No end predicted.

It's snowing very heavily here - woke up around 4 and nothing, went back to bed and now there are huge flakes coming down. Looked at the radar and there is a huge dark green (heavy snow) blob sitting over us and an even bigger one coming this way. Anyone who gets this mess, do NOT blame Canada, this crap came this way from Montana. I expect at least a foot by the time this mess moves on. Temp is around 10°F

sk_pacer, I have just read both of your posts to Mr.Chief2, the resident roof shoveler here, and we feel your pain. We hope you have a slow melt, and don't end up floating in a darn lake!
Keep the faith. You have friends in low places.

Chief2 - not much chance of washing to a lake but the Missouri is a distinct possibility as both rivers near here drain into it eventually........oh well if I get that far, I will eventually get to see New Orleans!!!ROFL I am hoping for a slow melt too but am very afraid it will hit 60-70°F without any gradual warming and it's gonna be a horrible mess. That also means I have to walk around dragging a spade to open channels for the water to drain.
The whiteshit is still falling rather heavily and they are closing highways all over the area now.
I do feel sorry for the poor horse - there is no way in hell that he can be put outside for a long time. Door is welded shut by a snowbank and the fences are covered. At least he has a month's worth of hay inside

I want Spring in hopes that it will deliver warmer weather. I'm just a stiff, cold, and unmotivated curmudgeon when it's less than 50 degrees. I could do without the mess of mud. I'm lucky enough that there is a very nice outdoor ring where I ride, and the owners maintain it very well. It'll all be over soon enough and we'll be complaining about the heat and bugs.
