The filming from inside the ring is interesting but extremely dizzying!

I didn't envy her! Looks like a tough ride.

I LOVE Royce though. I think he's going to be so special as he grows up a bit more.

It's been relatively cool lately in Wellington. Funny to think the horses and riders from Wellington had to adjust to the heat at Thermal.

I'm not getting that at all (thank goodness).

I'm hearing the man and woman doing the commentary throughout with the PA announcer in the background between rounds.

There is a funky thing going on when they show a replay in slow motion, because you also hear the slowed down audio at the same time.

Aw, man. Looks like Antares was a little too fresh for that easy five stride line. Jumping out of his skin!

Hmm, maybe the plain snaffle isn't best for Antares F....

I hear the man and woman too. The man is fond of saying "no doubt, no doubt"

Too bad about Antares. I think the announcer jinxed him with that effusive intro.

I noticed that right off the bat.

You could make a tremendous drinking game out of that for St. Patrick's Day if you were so inclined.

I remember when Ljubov Kotchetova had Royce and it wasn't a great pair. *I thought* he was too much horse for her. Margie bought Royce and took him to camp Margie and he's easily coming into his own.

EDIT: Can anyone on the West Coast tell me anything about Elizabeth Gringas? Have never heard of her, but her course was amazing.

Ljubov is a great rider in her own right, but Margie seems to have super-human strength for her size. Royce reminds me of a bay Land of Kings.

Looks like Elizabeth Gringas is from Edmonton, Alberta, from the start list.

Whats the height for the class? I'm guessing 1.45-1.5, but I wanted to check.

I like how the male announcer said Kara Chad's ride was "a testament to our American riding system".... but she's Canadian!

Still, color me impressed. That looked like an eq ride! Amazing for any rider, but at 16?? Wow.

She rides with Dick Carvin though, an american. Although perhaps the announcer should have said North American system

Does anyone else remember when Kara Chad was riding Miss Australia and Newsworthy?

Hmm probably around 1.55-1.60. A 1.45-1.50 would be a 25k-75k class, a million dollar class is usually set a bit higher.
