    Cool Candyman SS Holsteiner Stallion

Does anyone have any info or pictures on this stallion? I'm looking at purchasing a prospect and I believe he is the sire but I cannot find anything on him!

Bump! SherwoodAcres, what did you find out?

Anybody heard of this Holsteiner stallion? What does the SS designation mean?

(It just seems odd that there seems to be no record of this stud but the owners of the prospect note that the stud could be registered? I don't understand how that works...)

Looks like there was stuff up at one time but not now. I can't recall a stallion by that name active in AHHA any time recently. A quick google search makes it seem like he might have some Canadian Warmblood offspring?

There are a few register Holsteiner stallions out there that are advertised and standing as "Holsteiner" stallions, but they are not actually approved and their offspring are not eligible for registration. Many are approved in other registries so you may be breeding to a Holsteiner but the foal won't be registered as one.

Could this be him? Pretty sure he was a stallion.

Thanks tanderson. Although the stallion seems like the most likely candidate as a sire, it does not match the bloodlines the seller has indicated. I will probably just consider this prospect as something with mixed blood (whatever it may be) and keep that in mind when thinking about pricing/purchasing.

I seem to remember a bay horse showing in the jumpers around 8-10 years ago under the name Candyman. Maybe post something over on the h/j forum? I might. Dry well be wrong, but you still might get a bite over there.
