I'm going good deal. A friend just a similar saddle online - ridden in less than 10 times, in calfskin - for about the same price. Hers was in a more unusual size so I attributed it to being harder to sell. The person selling it had gotten out of horses and needed it gone.
It looks to be a 2011 model, buffalo/grain (which is the same year and leather as mine) I paid $4,400. So I'm assuming that since it's 2 years old, that may be why the price is lower. Also- some people just like to get out from underneath saddles when they are in a financial bind or if they want it to be a quick sale transaction! They provided the serial number, which is a great sign, you can always contact CWD with the serial number to confirm the specs of the saddle and to ensure it isn't stolen (i highly, highly doubt that!). Seller's feedback is great!
My recommendation would be contact the seller, see how well they communicate, and if you'd like, contact CWD and check out the info based on the serial number!
Yeah I get a kick out of these threads "Do you think I should buy this horse, this saddle???" Well honey while you think about it .... I actually did buy a saddle I saw posted on a thread here awhile back. And thank whomever. I really appreciated it - love the saddle.
