I have one horse going in EquiFit boots (T boots) --open fronts in front and ankle boots behind, which is truly ridiculous because the horse only flats at this point. But they are what I have from before and they look nice. I prefer the tab kind to the velcro. The other horse has a set of hand-me-down Equifits, but the front ones are the closed front.
I have the Dover version of those boots too, but they get used for turn out. I always order via smartpak because you can free return sized items and since I already have smartpaks shipping out, I'm too lazy to order stuff from Dover.
Jump schooling at home I use eskadrons or the Roma knock off version. When I show I have equifit t boots and eskadrons. My choice there really depends on the weather. If it's rainy and yucky like most of our shows here I got with the eskadrons. Soooo much easier to clean.
Spend so much time improving yourself that you have no time left to criticize others.
For most every day work and hacking, I usually use fleece lined boots (I love the ones hunterrider linked. Not too thick like the Dover, good price, and last). Occasionally, I'll do polos or a combination of boots and polos.
I would LOVE a full set of the Equifit brushing boots...but at close to $100 a pair, probably won't be happening when I can spend $60-70 on a full set of fleece boots.
Either T-Boots (with the tabs) in front and wraps behind or wraps all around. Some combination of Back On Track Polos, regular polos or Eskadron Climatex wraps. And bell boots in the summer when he has shoes all around.
bell boots and eskis up front, soon getting the equifit sport boot for up front since we only flat. sheepskin or regular ankle eski ankle boots depending on the weather. polos up front, out back or all around if I feel like it. climatex up front for more intense flatting.
I flat my horse in my SmartPak Fleece Sport Boots that I got on mega sale last summer or polos and then I jump him in Veredus Olympus Open Fronts and Eskadron Ankle Boots (until I shell out the $$ for the matching hinds). He always has bell boots on except at shows.
