Hunter Jumper trainer/barn recommendations North of Denver?
Hi there-
I searched the forums for trainers in the Denver area and most results brought back posts from 2-3 years ago...things may or may not have changed in that time, so I wanted to throw it out there again. Are there any suggestions for good trainers north of Denver?
Looking for an A barn, with an indoor, and trainers that show and have staff at home while the barn is away at shows (often happens when Thermal rolls around, don't want to be left alone if I'm not on the trailer!). I have looked at a few barns south of Denver and I found some that I really like, but I don't know if I can do the hour drive every day...but I would consider recommendations of trainers that are not too far south of the city. I can go as far north as Fort Collins- its a much easier commute. We live in the Broomfield/Northglenn area.
I primarily ride equitation and jumpers...and my horse is a pretty easy keeper, but it is important for us to have a nice barn with quality training.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated!

I have a friend who is an excellent Eq trainer in Littleton; she may know somebody in the area you're looking for.
Look up Legacy Way Equestrian, Lindsay R. Wilner. You can message her via facebook

Thank you, Spartacus! I sent her a message- I tried to google her but could not find a farm website, so I just sent her mail. I also tried to google farms in the area, but not many trainers have websites that are updated (or even at all...)

I worked at Gargot for a few months. The trainer Molly is excellent. I've also been to Triple Creek a few times and their programs seems great as well. The other barns I only know through word of mouth.

Thanks for the reccomendations! Are these show barns? I have calls in to some of them to schedule a visit and have looked them all up online, but its not really clear from the barns that do have websites if they show or not.
I may have to go south of Denver to find a good show barn, but if there are any other suggestions or clarifications of the above, I would appreciate the insight!

Have you looked at Savoy Stables?

I learned everything I know from a chestnut mare so don't even try me.

Mark Mead does the big shows and travels out of state. Laurie Grayson does big shows in CO and CHJA shows in CO. Sometimes travels out of state.

Thanks for the clarifications, FAW! @rustbreeches (love the name, btw), I did see this barn but it is south of Denver. I was looking at an hour commute with traffic to get through the city so I wanted to stay north of Denver if possible. If I had a 45 minute commute North, at least there would not be traffic- its almost guaranteed to be congested if I have to travel directly through. I hope to check out these barns in the next few days, thanks again!
