Default Would Your Doctor Be Surprised to See This?

I think my doctor already knows what is in there, no x rays needed.

Seriously, when I was very sick and could have kicked the bucket in the next 3 to 5 months, according to my cardiologist, I was permanently placing my young horses, as they needed riding now anyway and providing for my two old ones, that my neighbor took to his barn.

I had asked my dr if he thought I would be eventually well enough to ride and he asked back if I would be wanting to no matter what, how important that was.
I said I would do what I could and that would be fine, either way, but I was asking to manage them better for any possible future.
He said that yes, if all went well I could to anything later, but that if I had insisted life was not worth it without riding, etc., showing a bit of a disconnect with reality, then he would have been worried about my mental state.

Lesson from this story, ok to have horses in your brain, as long as that is not the ONLY thing in there.

What's wrong with that skull? Besides the horse. I see no sign of a nose. Creepy.

The nose is mostly soft tissue, and the nasal bones that you would see are thin. So when you use the amount of radiation it takes to get a skull x-ray, the soft tissue and nasal bones get "burned out". So nothing is wrong with it, other than the horse. Well, something else could be wrong, but it's not the lack of nose.

Thank you for explaining that to ThreeFigs. Hopefully she is no longer creeped out.

    Nope!!
Some riders change their horse, they change their saddle, they change their teacher; they never change themselves.

Wink That's all he thinks is in there anyhow, so

I think he'd be more surprised and alarmed is it weren't there.
