Default Looking for reputable trainer for small pony

I am looking for a reputable trainer either to come to the farm or to send my small ponies for basic driving training. We are locating in MD and would like to find someone within reasonable driving distance so I can remain involved with the process.

If anyone knows someone they could recommend that would be great.

I would highly recommend Katie Fitzpatrick. She is located in New Freedom PA just north of the MD/PA line (Vintage Oak Farm) and she fantastic with the ponies and she also does driving. 717-676-2355.

Thank you for the replies. I had asked Anne before posting this and she indicated that she no longer took ponies in for training but was available for lessons. I don't have regular help so I really need to send them out for training.

My son's leadline pony s with Maryalice Matheson at Bowler Hill Farm down in Marshall, VA. Her name was recommended to me by several people in the NoVA area (actually, EVERYONE I mentioned her name to knew her and indicated high respect for her). My own experience has been very good. She took my mare for training knowing the pony has no special breeding, will never show and is approaching middle age. I just wanted another option for keeping her fit. Maryalice is both skilled and kind and the pony seems to like her new line of work.

I would contact Lisa Singer. Chateaulogdriving.com She is in Pa, but not far from the De/Pa line. Perhaps she is close to you in MD.

Paul Hoover in Leola, PA. He's not that far from MD; I didn't find the drive from south NoVA bad at all (except for the time my trip coincided with a Nats game)
