    Default non-white plastic bit?

OK, so it is official. My mare loves the Happy Mouth bit. But call me a vain DQ, but on a black horse the bit is SOOOO ugly The ends of the white plastic just stick out like a sore thumb against the black of her face. I know they have blue and pink...yuck, that would be even worse. Wish they had it is a grey/ brown, black. Anyone ever seen this?

I am considering buying a used one cheap and playing around with food coloring dye to see if I can darken it! Is that just crazy of me?

That is a good point...if they can make pink, lilac, etc why not a dark color? The black ones are all rubber...

    Magic Marker?

Really though, the off white colour should blend in to the "lip stick" slobber once she is going, and really isn't that much brighter than a silver bit, so yes, I think you are being a bit silly.

Hmm, from 10' or so away, it is pretty hard to distinguish white bit-ends from the usual silver I agree, it seems a little silly.
