Default Welsh x Shetland yearlings Northwestern North Carolina

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...ize=960%2C720I acquired two ponies last month when they were left by a renter/boarder at a friend's farm. They are a filly and colt out of Shetland mares by the same Welsh stallion. They are barely halterbroke, but are not hard to handle, just inexperienced with everything! I do not have the time to train them.
They have their whole lives ahead of them, and I want them to get a good start with quality training. Too many horses in this area are cowboyed until they are ruined. Help get these guys to a place where they will be appreciated!
The colt is super friendly/curious as a pony should be. The filly is a bit suspicious, but has movement like a tiny TB! Floaty and jumps for fun! He is 10h.h., she is maaaybe 12.
Photos are from today- first day without snow in two months.

I wanted to take a peek since my old driving pony was Welsh/Shetland, but...

Update on ponies- I found a home for the colt. Yay! The filly has since been able to get near me for treats and scratches. She has a great personality, smart and spunky. Now that she is out with the herd, she is really showing off her moves! She FLOATS and prefers to jump rather than go around any obstacle.

I still haven't gotten any good pix or video, can't get a break in the weather.

Spring is coming, though... Anyone interested?

Your dog may not be broken, but he still needs to be fixed.

I hope to go to an ACTHA ride in Bristol May 5. I could haul her there to meet you. Is that near you?

Looks like 2 hours or so. Let me see if anyone local is heading that way as well.
