The Bombay Assassins, a series of 3 books (I have them on my Kindle) are hilarious. "Bombay Assassins Greatest Hits Box Set" is how I got them. Author is Leslie Langtry. I'm on the 3rd book now and it's almost impossible to put it down, so that would be a good late night book.

The Preston and Childs books work well for me; I particularly enjoyed the Relic series. That kept me awake and alert well into the wee smas!
Movies made me too snoozy, but I did watch many, many Golden Girls episodes.

If you haven't read the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, that one will last you for months and is quite entertaining. It's especially good as an audio book since the reader if fabulous and does a perfect Scottish accent (as well as British and French). With the audio book you can keep listening as you walk out to do your barn checks.

Thanks for the book suggestions!!!! Movies make me tired too, I have been known to watch entire seasons of shows I had never heard of on my laptop when I have read everything in the house

If you don't want to read, puzzles are a great. My staff has a stack of boxes in the offices. Lay them out on the big table and stays until they get it put together.
