Default The Power of COTH - Reunion after 45+ years

Around Thanksgiving I got a PM from someone I hadn't seen since she and her family moved when we were about 10. She was looking for information or photos of the Ronald Reagan ranch in Malibu where her mom kept her horse and happened on a thread where I had posted. She thought that it had to be me based on the information.

Before they moved, our families did lots and lots of stuff together. One summer we went on a road trip pretty much every week. They piled five kids in the car and off we went to the Del Mar Fair, or the Huntington Museum, or someplace.

We finally had a reunion on the Monday holiday, at the barn (where else?). It was like we had never missed a beat. Photo is of me, Holly, and my mom. Her mom is on the east coast and won't fly so I guess we'd have to go there.

That is awesome! My Rolling Hills Red Barn thread put me in touch with my sister's bestie from high school.

    It's better than Facebook, IMHO.

    Too cool

I found my old trainer on here (after not seeing her for probably 10+ years) and that prompted me to find her on Facebook. We've chatted a few times now and are planning on having lunch when I head her way to see the horse I have leased. Yay coth!
