Lightbulb If you had a mare...

(Might be totally slaughtered here, but hell...)

If you had a mare who moved exactly like Quarterhall, who would you breed her to?

My mare has exactly the same trot and canter mechanic as Quarterhall (was shocked to see how much two horses can be similar in terms of movement) and after asking in another thread for a picture of his conformation, I can see they both have very very similar hind ends (croup and hind leg) although Quarterhall does have a better loin connection.

So there it is, who do you think could improve on this type of movement?

Edited to add: her walk is a 10, much better then Quarterhall's.

If that really is the case, then I guess the world is your oyster so to speak!

    What is the mare's breeding?

I can make a video tomorrow, the vet will be out today to check her out so probably not a good time.

My mare's breeding is Laurent (Lauries Crusador x Wittinger x Bolero) out of a mare by Federweisser x Fabriano.

I've talked about her quite a bit on this forum and am very pleased with her, she has been developing really well. When she first arrived she was quite a bit underweight from grade 4 ulcers but has now started to really fill in and strengthen up and that sure has contributed to a better performance.
